mid-week wrap up...

Happy Wednesday all! How has your week been going?

Some totally cray cray weather yesterday! Insane pelting rain coupled with sunshine - bizarro!

Yaaay wedding invite!

We got our costumes at ballet practice last night, super-excited to dance around imitating a poppy! (on a side note, how veiny is my arm? blergh)

Delivery at work - makes my day!

Bec&Bridge loose-weave knit - this picture does not do justice to the lovely blush-pink colour

Bassike slouchy jersey pants in midnight

Have been very stressed of late, pondering some big work/life/otherwise questions, so this evening I lit a Glasshouse candle and spent a soothing hour organising and colour-coordinating my wardrobe

Wonderfully soothing...

Donna Hay-esque baked chicken for dinner...

Currently enjoying a cuppa on the couch - hope the week has been good to you all so far!

xoxo

  1. You love your glasshouse candles don't you?

The Top looks brown in the photo but I'll take your word for it - hehe!

Good luck with the big decisions. A nice glass of good NZ sav blanc will do the trick - I know you are with me on that one

  2. I dream of having your wardrobe one day!
That ballet costume is too cute.

Hope everything works itself out soon and you can stop stressing.

  3. I colour coordinate too! I also 'sleeve length' arrange...Eg all my blacks go from long sleeved, 3/4, Short, tank, spaghetti. I'm a big believer of order in the external helping with order in the internal.

Hope you find some peace with your life decisions. This growing up business is tiresome, isn't it! Cake.

  4. What do you do with items that aren't hanging? I used to do my shelves in types of clothes - shirts, Tshirts (of which I have about 2!), blouses etc. but it didn't look as nice as colour coded. Hahaha. Still, it would look much nicer if I had thin shelves and I didn't have to stack all my clothes. Sigh. Dream wardrobe.

    1. I still colour coordinate. If your shelves are deep, howards storage world has temporary hanging things (like a shower railing) you can install to hang your blouses etc on. I only fold sweaters.

For misc. objects like underwear and pjs I keep these in square cane baskets in the shelves.

    2. I far prefer hanging things up, they seem to keep nicer, and also look lovely. Sadly space doesn't permit - like Anon, I still coordinate my folded items x

  6. You hang your knits? I was toying with this but I thought it might make them stretch. Have you found that a problem?

    1. Hmmm its a concern but so far I've not had a problem with stretching. That said, I've never hung any really fine knits x

  8. I too like to organise my wardrobe when I am stressed. You seem to have a lot of neutrals, or is it just the lighting/instagram filter?

    1. My wardrobe definitely tends towards the neutral end of the colour spectrum! With some colours thrown in for good measure x

  9. I like the organisation of your wardrobe by colour...thinking I should do the same with mine (it could also do with some good culling). Yay procrastination!
