short and sweet...

Ok, apparently I can upload photos using this bloggy phone app but sadly it seems I cannot move them around or intersperse them with text. So, whilst the mobile-blogging continues, there will be blocks of text followed by I captioned photos - apologies! The visual mess of it distresses me, but needs must for now.

V headed off down the coast for work this morning, at a truly ungodly hour. I made the effort to get up and make him coffee (bless you, easily-operated Nespresso machine! even half-asleep I can manage you), but staying awake after he left was just too much effort and I grabbed the kittehs and headed back to bed until the sun had actually come up.

Have any of you read this month's Gourmet Traveller? I think I died a little bit looking at that pancake-stack photo on the cover - desperately racking my brains for an occasion to make it...

The bump and I took a ballet class this evening. This whole different-balance thing is rather new and amusing - some things are just a great big mess for me (over balancing forwards in a pliƩ is a new and embarrassing experience!), but for some reason other steps are just dead easy now! Weird.

Speaking of weird, we have been extremely baffled and amused to discover Jade's bizarre obsession with the sweet little kangaroos on the tv show Kangaroo Dundee on ABC tv. She never usually notices the tv, but when this show is on she will sit right near the set and stare at the screen obsessively. She seems especially mesmerized when they jump around. We have lots of fun getting between her and the screen, which results in her moving her head from side to side to look around us! Funny feline. Maybe kangaroos make some sort of high-pitched sound that only cats can hear?

xoxo

  1. It's funny when you catch animals watching TV. Our dog shows no interest at all - except when Mr B plays FIFA on the playstation - then he watches the ball haha! And, if anyone knocks on a door on a TV show / movie he always barks and runs to the front door. Have the kittens clued on to the bub? Our dog is always a little more sensitive and careful around pregnant ladies ... animals' intuition.

    1. Oh that's so funny! My sister's cat used to do that with actual soccer games on tv.
I think the cats do know bub is in there, they've been ridiculously sooky lately and obsessed with laying on my stomach! xx

  5. Love Nespresso for ease of use- can't say the same for Gourmet Traveller. I attempted a caramel and pear cake for my husband's 30th- spent about $70 on ingredients and a couple of hours, and ended up with three pancake like cakes. Am sticking with Bill Granger and Donna Hay. Cute story about your cat watching tv x

  7. When our dogs were inside pooches they used to watch TV with us and bark when ever there was another animal on the screen. Our cats seem oblivious.

Lovely to hear you are enjoying a healthy pregnancy.
