what I wore - bbq...

We went to a house-warming today for some friends of ours, who have just purchased their first home. It was a lovely relaxed BBQ with lots of family and friends there, and lots of good food and wine. Of course I forgot to take my camera with me! Instead I made my husband take lots of snaps of me when we arrived home, in this State of Georgia maxi dress I wore (borrowed from my sister, R).

I know lots of people seem to be very anti-maxi dress these days, but personally I find nothing is more cool and relaxed on a hot day, and nothing looks nicer draped loosely about your frame. Embrace the maxi dress, I say!

    Ooh I love this - it looks perfect and breezy and light for the heat you seem to be having! Hope its not too terrible for you. I'm anticipating it when we arrive and trying to prepare myself for it!!

    I absolutely loveeee this maxi dress Cate, it looks so stunning! I'm sick of seeing overly formal maxi dresses everywhere I go, this one is different and in a good way.

    Hmmm I usually really like maxi dresses- not a fan, at all, of this one though. Perhaps it's because there's a lot of wind blowing it? Or maybe it's the material. However the shade of pink is lovely.
