The last day of the Anzac long weekend - I feel like we've spent the entire day cooking and eating. Pretty much an ideal day for me!
V made the most delicious crepes for breakfast - we covered them in sugar and lemon juice and rolled them up and PIGGED OUT French style haha.
I made another batch of Anzac biscuits - much to my great surprise and joy, they turned out perfectly fine. (For some reason I had the idea in my head that Anzac biscuits ought only be made on Anzac day, and that making them the day after would result in the spirit of Anzacs passed descending on my kitchen and destroying my biscuits).
And as it had been so lovely and cold today, I decided to make a massive pot of vegetable and barley soup for dinner...
Mmmmm, so yummy - its the soup equivalent of a big, warm hug.
Hope everyone had a lovely long weekend!
