winter wedding...

Well I decided to "suck it up" and go to the wedding yesterday - cold be damned, I was not going to let a stupid little virus stand in the way of me celebrating a good friend's special day, so I dosed myself to the eyeballs with Codral and soldiered on. The groom is a very good family friend of ours, I grew up with him and his older brother, they are more cousins than just friends - so I couldn't bring myself to miss out.

And I am so glad we went. The bride looked like an angel, she was just gorgeous! We had a great time, the food was great, the decor was really lovely, and even though we did leave the reception after fairly early and I was tucked up in bed by 9pm (shock horror!), it was a really good night.

I christened my beautiful new birthday-present skirt! I felt like a fairy princess or a ballerina in it, and got lots of comments from wedding guests, which perked me up no end :)

Sass tulle ballerina skirt
Secret Squirrel silk top
Sewn waterfall jacket
Tony Bianco stilettos
Mimco magazine clutch

The table settings were so beautiful - centrepieces of twisted willow, fresh star lilies and fairy lights looked just magical

The gorgeous, gorgeous ocean view from the function room

My lovely sister R and I - note that R has gone brunette! I think it really suits her. (R is wearing a current-season Cue dress)
