Only one more sleep to go! Christmas is nearly upon us - and I am totally excited for it all! And also stunned at how quickly yet another year has flown by
To complete the Christmas decorating in our house, I made some tissue pompoms last night to hang from the ceiling. I had seen similar balls on other blogs, and checked out the various stores when one can purchase such items - for the cool price of around $40 for 3 pompoms! And thought to myself, feck that for a game of cards, I'll make my own! How hard can it possibly be?
I used this tutorial from Martha Stewart's website - considering I am a total ninny when it comes to craft, I think they turned out pretty well!
Today has been spent relaxing and thoroughly enjoying the first day of my holidays
My gorgeous sister and I went and grabbed coffee and muffins in town...
And then I went and had my hair coloured by the talented girls at Cheveux Hair - love, love, love it!
♥ Therese Rawsthorne dress
♥ Country Road top
♥ Tony Bianco ballet flats
♥ Sportsgirl tote
♥ Cotton On sunglasses
Typically, stoopid Blogger has destroyed the vibrancy of the red in these photos - its SO much brighter and redder in life and in-camera
Love how you can see a teeny reflection of V in my sunglasses!
V and I managed to get all the Christmas food shopping done this afternoon in under an hour - a minor Christmas miracle, given the insane crowds of stressed, turkey-hunting, trifle-assembling, cranberry-craving merrymakers in our local Woolworths!
We rewarded ourselves with a sandwich at Lower East cafe...
V had a baguette with roast pork, apple sauce, sour cream and chives...
ZOMG this was seriously the Best. Sandwich. Ever! Sourdough-crumbed schnitzel, German potato salad, cucumber, rocket and pickles, omm nom nom
The cranberry juice jelly and vanilla bean custard are made and in the fridge, for the trifle, the cranberry sauce has been cooked and bottled up, the ham has been glazed and baked, and all the presents are wrapped and ready to go. I hope you are all ready for Christmas Day tomorrow, and just as excited as I am
xoxo
I hate how Blogger saps the real colours out of photos! How does it do that??! The red of your hair in the pictures looks gorgeous though :) Very much a seductress red ;)
ReplyDeleteAnd thank you for linking the pompom tutorial! I see these pompoms everywhere (in blogworld) and love them, but can never find a decent tutorial. Thank you! :)

Did you see how many of those tissue paper pom poms were made for the gingerbread house at my work? Talk about time consuming :)
