Thank goodness for a lazy, relaxing Sunday...
We made french toast - and ate it, with strawberries and blueberries, and maple syrup
I bought free-range bantam eggs at the markets last week - aren't they gorgeous?
Fruit can be so pretty! I think it makes a great table centerpiece
Luverly hydrangeas! I have cheated by buying a potplant and disguising it in a vase-type arrangement. Hopefully they flourish inside
I took some time to declutter and tidy up the fridge...
And the pantry...
Sunday night we had dinner with my parents - a veritable feast!
We ate:
♥ fresh figs topped with buffalo mozzarella and mint, and drizzled with olive oil
♥ dad's tomatoes, chopped and topped with pepper and salt and olive oil
♥ homemade spanakopita
♥ organic chicken, in moroccan spices, cooked on the BBQ

Those bantam eggs are gorgeous!! You could blow the yolk out and turn them into easter ornaments for an easter tree!!! You're V right about fruit as a center piece, nothing can beat mother nature's colours.
ReplyDeleteahhh all that food looks heavenly!! I love spanikopita and that one looks delicious!! (i'm always envious of my Greek friends...) And that reminds me to buy some fresh figs, i usually only get dried ones. Yum :)

You're fridge makes me sick, lol. You can't open ours without some random jar or container flying out at you.

Ahhhh nom nom nom. Your food photos are always so amazing, gah jealous! I should try to cook more! But I have so many food allergies it winds up being kind of frustrating... gah.
ReplyDeleteI too had french toast and berries for breakfast!
ReplyDeleteYour dad's tomatoes sound great!
