A-whoo-hoo! *happy dance* Not only was this my first blood test in over 15 years, I voluntarily rocked up for this without any medical need for it! (Crazy, non?) Cognitive behavioural therapy FTW!

Thanks so much ladies :)
ReplyDeleteEmma - thankyou SO much for saying that, I thought I had blurred all mentions of my surname on that photo but I missed one, eep! All fixed now, ta hun
Yaaaayyy! Congratulations! I can imagine how much of a triumph that is for you :)
ReplyDeleteI've had so many needles and blood tests lately that I've become somewhat immune, which I'm proud of in sort of a weird way!

Congrats! Good on you for taking the steps and succeeding!
ReplyDeleteGood on you hun! I am not scared of needles themselves but I have this awful phobia of blood and blood tests. I can have injections and drips etc but anything blood related- im out!
ReplyDeleteIm trying to work up the guts to give a blood donation in the next month. Its such an important thing to do and I feel so silly that I can't give blood when Im perfectly healthy
Congratulations agan hun!

Congratulations!! The last almost two years of my life have been punctuated (or should that be punctured?) by blood tests, needles and invasive medical procedures. I am so very lucky I am not needle phobic. Well done you for conquering your fear!

Congratulations Cate! I know how hard it was for you. Isn't great to overcome something that you've been scared of?
ReplyDeleteCONGRATS!!!! You should be super proud of yourself!!!! Also glad to hear that Cognitive Behavioural Therapy works! We got taught a lot of behavioural stuff last year (to combat dental anxiety), but tbh we were all pretty cynical because the lecturer was extremely boring and a little annoying. I should go revise that material soon... :)
ReplyDeletePS Jasper is adorable!!!!!
Congrats!!! That is so well done.
