Aka totally amazeballs Cinnamon and Honey porridge!
My yoga studio is holding a competition for the Best Yogi Breakfast - has to be heathy, quick and vegetarian. I've always loved porridge in winter, its healthy and filling, and stops me reaching for the chocolate at 11am! If done correctly, its also extremely quick and easy - the perfect post-practice brekky!
to make enough porridge for two hungry yogis:
2 cups wholegrain oats
1 1/2 cups organic whole milk (substitute almond or rice milk for a vegan option)
tablespoon chia seeds
teaspoon cinnamon (or more if you feel like it!)
generous spoonful of organic local honey
Bung all ingredients in a saucepan and cook over a low heat, stirring continually, until it goes all nice and porridgy (yes, that is a word!). Should take around 5-10 minutes (I'm not the most exact chef on the planet)
Serve with a little extra milk and some fresh raspberries! This is similarly lovely with stewed fruit, such as rhubarb or quince
Nom!
