just plodding along...

Can someone please 'splain me where on earth 2013 has gone? Less than 5 weeks until Christmas? And worse still, one third of my maternity leave done. Eek! To put it mildly. Add to the mix one very rapidly-growing little princess, and all I can say is, wow!

We have been going about our business as usual - nothing particularly momentous to report (unless we're talking baby-stuff, but I won't bore you all with stories!) Getting excited for Christmas - my favourite time. Even though I feel so rushed and behind the eight ball this year!

Coffe and cake at local watering hole - check! Very important that refreshments are available for all - love a cafe that is happy to help in catering for le bebe!

Jade isn't 100% down with this arrangement - the kittehs are slowly learning that our laps are no longer always available. Sharing does not come easy to cats!

To market, to market to buy - loadsa fresh goodies for the week!

Eeeee fresh, local raspberries, the season has begun! Get in mah belly! (Also currently obsessed with 5am natural sugar free yoghurt, so delish!)

Took baby E on her first gallery visit - every girl needs some leopard print in her life, amiright?

Our newest and favouritest brunching-spot discovery is Dagwood bar and kitchen (run by the boys of Diggies fame) - their short stack pancakes are amaze! As for the fruit salad - seriously, I cannot even. When did you ever get a fruit salad that wasn't 99% watery, bland melon-like items? This one is all nectarines and peaches, raspberries, blueberries, kiwi and mandarin and nom nom nom. Best! Ever!

In other news? Have just been plodding along, striving for some semblance of routine, getting out and about as much as possible. My mothers group (much to my pleasant surprise) are 5 lovely women who I get along with so well. My sister and her family get back from Tassie next week, so I will have someone else to play with, yay! Life is kind of basic, but good.
Today's highlight was a nice long walk along the beach with the little one and my parents (V had to work)...

Gorgeous stormy weather!

Aren't grandparents just the best?
In some actual exciting news, we have decided on Evelyn's Christmas present! She will only be 4 months old and will have no idea of what's going on, so we thought we would get her something that will actually get used, but more importantly a bit of a keepsake for her, a memento of her first Christmas. This Tiffany&Co baby brush ticks all the boxes!
As for everyone else, inspiration is yet to strike...

Have any of you started Christmas shopping yet? Or put up your tree? Love the silly season - most wonderful time of the year!
xoxo
