ringing in the new year...

Happy New Year, lovely readers! What a fantastic year it has been! Some definite low points, but hey, they really only serve to highlight how great the highs are. And, cliche warning, I really do count myself lucky to have a happy, healthy child - everything else has become secondary.

We had a great time celebrating the New Year. Clearly, our days of late-night piss-ups are long past - not only due to logistics, with a kiddo, but I quite simply wouldn't want to. I don't have the energy anymore! hahahahaha

We booked a table at North Pavillion on the beach for dinner and drinks - they did an early sitting for families, from 5:30-7:30, just perfect for us! My parents and brother joined us.

Semolina-dusted calamari with fennel salad, dying! The food and service were absolutely top notch, my whole family were extremely impressed. We will definitely do this again next year.

Stacking party hats are apparently the best toy EVAH! You can bet your bippy I took these home with us!

We had the tiny one home and bathed and in bed by 8:30, pretty good! Then it was time for champagne and watching the early fireworks from our balcony. Such a lovely way to bid farewell to 2014, and ring in the New Year.

Did you remember to open the door to let the new year in? Hope you had a lovely evening, however you spent it
xoxo
