This morning, we woke up early and craving pancakes. Well, I was craving pancakes, and E thinks it's a pretty ace word to say, so all the signs pointed to us mixing up a batch for breakfast...
I use the recipe my mum always used (still does!) - one egg, one cup SR flour, 3/4 cup of milk.
Cooked in butter of course...
Anything that this one eats before strawberries, you know she is enjoying.
Current obsessions - socks, the alphabet and jigsaw puzzles. She scares me a little bit, the way she can recognise some letters (S is shoes!), and can get most of them in the correct order.
The gorgeous weather was calling us, so we headed out for a few hours to the botanic gardens, to feed the ducks and play at the park (my sincere apologies for the depressing balcony view haha.)
So much fun at the gardens, enjoying some autumn sunshine. My little explorer (although she did get us lost in the maze heh.)
Totally not her bucket and spade. The toy I brought, she wasn't interested in, naturally. Luckily there's a fairly good barter system in operation at our local parks - what one kid wants, another will be over. Hence E sniped some kid's sand toys, while another one ran off with her ball. Win/win.
Popped this bad boy in the slow cooker before we left the house this morning. I use the lovely Merowyn's Crazy Delicious Lamb Shoulder recipe, check it out you won't regret it! http://food52.com/recipes/35523-crazy-delicious-harissa-lamb-shoulder
Currently enjoying some quiet time while the small human has a nap, hoping for a relaxing afternoon (my bet is more jigsaws will be involved.)
