I love cooking! But V does most of the cooking in our household, due to me working in Sydney and having to commute so far, and getting home so late at night. So on weekends, I like to make something really nice for dinner...
I asked V what he felt like for dinner tonight and he said - cheese on toast! He had a hard week and wanted comfort food. So I made cheese on toast... but I fancied it up a bit!
Tasty cheddar on toast, with sides of chopped avocado and cucumber, lime and cracked pepper red rock deli chips and pickles... mmmmm, pickles....
We drank a very yummy cabernet savignon with this...
scrumptious! and such a good idea :)
ReplyDeleteThat looks so comforting and made with love! It also reminds me of hotel food which I LOVE, I think it's the white ramekins and pickles. ♥

Oh I love a Coonawarra red and appreciate your combining of cheesey toast with fab-texture chips (the lime & pepper are my favourite in their range too, although the very attractive ad featuring the new balsamic vinegar & sea salt has certainly piqued my interest!) and sour&crunchy pickle- my how you've inspired me to prepare a midnight snack! xx
