hot summer days and nights...

How has everyone's weekend been? I have enjoyed every second of mine, because V is back, after six days out of town for work - I may or may not have squealed and ran and jumped at him when he walked in the door on Saturday

Last night, we headed out to a local Mexican restaurant for a little celebration dinner...

'Scuse the pissed-off look on my face, I was having trouble coping with the extreme heat...

Leona Edmiston dress
Tony Bianco heels
Cotton On sunglasses
Jag satchel

We shared a litre jug of Pimms...

And lots of yummy Mexican food!

After dinner, we decided we needed icecream, stat! We moseyed on over to Cold Rock. This is V's peanut butter icecream with snickers bar - sounds weird, but 'twas yummy!

And my mint-choc icecream with mint slice biscuits - kind of boring, but I think its a classic combo. Delish

Tomorrow, V heads off to Griffith for twelve days! He is going to be away for both his birthday, and Valentines Day. Sad. So in the spirit of making each moment count, we headed out for breakfast...

Yummy, yummy coffee - V was without coffee for the entire time he was in Coonamble, so he had several this morning

The big brekky - appropriate choice for someone who has been working 11-hour days in 42degree heat (and has dropped down to 88kg!)

My eggs benedict - the hollondaise at lee&me is the bomb!

Happy Weekend all!
xoxo

  1. Gosh you look pretty in yellow! Glad that V is back :) I love love Pimms, going to the kitchen now to make myself one. Although I don't think I'll have a jug lol. Sad that V won't be around for V day. If I remember I'll pop back next monday and wish you a happy valentines day :)

It looks like you had a beautiful weekend to make up for it though :) :) :)

I've worked night duty Sat night and again tonight (Sunday) I just woke up and I feel giddy and sick. Night duty is not good to me :( :( :(

  4. Beautiful dress, you're lucky yellow suits you as it can make so many like me look a little sick/washed out. The Pimms seems perfect for this heat, send some over please!

  7. Yumm! The Leona dress looks so fresh in that heat we had.

I love really good Mexican - few and far between here though.

From all your raves I might have to take a roadtrip to try Lee & Me... I adore hollandaise.

  10. Ohh you poor thing! My boy also travels for work (he is a judges associate - like you previously were I believe?). It is hard while he is away, but if you fill your days to distract yourself you will be amazed what you can get done! And I always appreciate him way more when he gets back :) xxx

  13. Extreme heat. I'm almost jealous. It's below freezing here in New York and we still have over 2 feet of snow on the ground.
