Well, not quite 5 seconds - but close enough! When it comes to skincare, I've found that the more basic and pared-back I keep it, the better my skin is - simple is key! I thought I would share my current skin regime, and what is working for me right now
I don't use a cleanser in the morning, I simply rinse my face with warm water, and follow with moisturiser - if I'm going to be out in the sun I will use a Cancer Council SPF30+ sunscreen, but otherwise I go for a nice moisturiser with an SPF 15 or so
I am currently in love with Khiels ultra facial moisturiser - its lovely and gentle on my sensitive skin, and it has SPF 15, which is super-important to me. You all know how pale am I, and I like it that way!
I am rethinking the Khiels moisturiser for next summer, as the lovely SkekTek was kind enough to have a look at the active ingredients of this stuff for me, and apparently it only shields me from UVB and not UVA rays! So once I've used up my current bottle, I'm on the market for a new SPF day cream - open to suggestions y'all!
I have recently jumped on the oil cleansing method bandwagon, and I am LOVING it! I have been using Moogoo cleansing oil for dry skin, which is a lovely mixture of cleansing and nourishing oils. It leaves my skin gently cleansed, and lovely and soft
Yes, yes, I know I rabbit on about this stuff ad nauseum, but its the BOMB people, seriously! Throughout summer, I've been using Trilogy rose hip oil as a moisturiser on its own, smoothed over damp skin every night. Come winter, I will use it under a heavier moisturiser
And that's it - easy! Does anyone else embrace simple skincare?
