5 things that made me smile this week...

1. Grown vanilla and orange peel hand cream - this seriously smells like orange creme brulee, I feel like constantly licking my hands when I use it (don't worry, I dont!) Plus its lovely and moisturising

2. My newest discovery, Carmans' dark chocolate, blueberry and almond bars *drool*

3. Wearing matching lingerie - somehow makes me feel so much more "put together"! (I'm a little crazy-obsessive about matchiness to begin with, and it takes it to a whole different level when knickers are involved LOL)

4. Lately I've been burning a candle in the morning as I shower and get ready for work, such a nice start to the day!

5. Coming home of an evening after 5:30pm and IT LOOKS LIKE THIS! LIGHT! Pretty

What's made you smile this week?
xoxo

  1. The Grown packaging is so lovely.. it reminds me of Aesop! That's such a nice idea with the candle, sometimes I burn incense in the morning :) Fresh flowers made me smile this week.. :) xx

  2. I've never heard of Grown! Will have to try them out after that description.

Ohmygod I love wearing matching underwear. I've actually put on weight and gone up a bra size or two (meaning I actually have boobs now - lol) so I really need to go bra shopping. And it's stressing me out over how much it will cost because I'll need to buy matching undies too!! Oh the tribulations of being female, haha.

  3. I love that hand cream too! Ozsale just had a sale on Grown products. I've stocked up on 500 ml bottle of this hand cream and hand wash plus face serum and matte moisturiser for summer. Can't wait for it to arrive soon.

  4. I adore matching underwear, but somehow the really comfy bra never comes with comfy knickers and vice versa. Still I persist with matching!

    1. Hehe I must confess I have experienced this with some brands, but its worth it in the name of lingerie-matchiness! xx

  5. Couldn't agree more on the matching thing! If for some reason I ever have to wear one half of a set without the other half I feel so out of place :-S

  6. Those muesli bars sound good, I might have to try them. Do you have the Glasshouse Coney Island candle? It smells delicious in the jar, just wondering if it smells as good when lit.

This week my bubba has made me smile - no surprise there haha. The best part is, I have been making her smile occasionally too :)

    1. You MUST try the muesli bars, they are insanely good!
I didn't end up getting the Coney Island candle because it didn't smell strong enough when they had it burning in Peter Alexander in Sydney *sadface*
Nawww I love smiley bubbas xx

  7. I could have written 1, 3, 4 and 5 myself! I adore that hand cream, have a panic attack if my pants and bra don't match, love burning a candle in the bathroom when I'm in the shower (somehow seems much more luxurious than electricity!) and am overjoyed not to be coming and going from work in pitch-black darkness.

I love that lingerie set. Elle Macpherson?

  8. I only do matching underwear! I don't feel 'done' without it. But it does mean lingerie costs more as I am always buying sets.
Love the Carmens muesli, think I will try the bars now x

  9. Is that an Elle McPherson matching set?

  10. That's my wedding lingerie. Love it.

As I wear a uniform for work (and a manly one at that - gotta love steel capped boots) I always make sure I'm wearing matching, lacy lingerie underneath. Makes me feel a little less butch (could be awkward if I ever need a decontamination shower though..!)

  11. A lovely sales assistant at a lingerie store once told me to always buy at least two pairs of knickers for every bra I owned- that way even when I repeat my bra (as I wear it at least twice before washing to ensure a long life)I always have a clean set of matching pants to wear. My slight OCD tendencies wouldn't let me bear un-matchiness :)
