NYE 2012...

Happy New Years to all my lovely readers! Being in New Zealand, we were officially the first to see in 2013 - we welcomed it in with drinkies and delicious food at Luna restaurant

Actioned a red lip for New Years eve (courtesy of MAC Lady Danger)

Our amazing view of the town and harbour from our upstairs table...

This stuff = da bomb! Sour and deliciousness

Luff a cheekily-named local bevvy - pale and interesting seems a fairly good description of yours truly haha

We shared lots of yummy little nibblies before our mains arrived - sadly half of them did not get immortalised on film as they were eaten so damn fast!

Ciabatta with dips, hoki and blue cheese fishcakes with walnut slaw *drool*

Freshly-made brioche with thyme butter, and chicken liver pate

V's wild venison...

Local blue cod with lemon puy lentils and salsa verde - perfection

WARNING - WORLD'S BEST DESSERT BELOW!

This was seriously sublime - lemongrass foam (I know, right? but 'twas amazing), puff pastry, ginger and lemon icecream and limoncello marshmallows. I'm dying right now recalling how fab this was

Highly, highly recommend Luna if you are ever in Dunedin peeps! The service was amazing, location is brilliant and fantabulous food

How did you spend yesterday evening? Did you ring in the New Year with a bang? Or aim for something a little quieter - maybe a combination of the two?
xoxo

Love that red lip on you - suits your complexion really well.
My NYE was really quiet. Just spent it with my dad, brother and J. But sometimes the quiet ones are the best :)

  3. Your food looks beautiful and the flavours sound amazing. We had a family BBQ at a holiday house in Batemans Bay. Fresh and barbecued seafood and sparkling all night. Perfect! Happy new year x
