baby sprinkle...

Yesterday, I had a very small baby sprinkle (not a shower!) with some family and family friends. I knew I did not want a big baby shower - the games alone are enough to make me cringe. But a select group of lovely ladies, good food and coffee, and lots of wonderful chat and priceless advice, sounded just ideal. Feel very blessed to have such amazing, supportive women in my life!

I have always, always wanted to go to The Grounds - and being midweek, we were able to book a table. Just as well! 10:30am on a Tuesday and it was still packed! I can definitely understand the hype now - coffee was amazeballs...
The brioche French toast with spiced quince was to-die-for!
Several pastries may or may not have accompanied me home (the tamarillo tart was seriously amazing!)
Cutest hessian-bag posy!
Little girl got extremely, extremely spoilt!
Matching stripy hehe
There was a definite bunny motif going on! Methinks my mum has been letting people in on the nursery stylings...
Something we have had picked out for quite some time...
xoxo

  2. Can I see a name in the last picture?

If so, I am laughing so hard, remember when you said that Baby-Cabaret's name was on your short list? Well, if that last picture means something, then that name was on ours. Talk about co-incidence.

  4. I love the idea of a baby sprinkle instead of a shower! What a lovely morning it sounds like you had. It's always nice for those close to you to feel like they can spoil your little one as well and get to catch up with them before you have your hands full!

    What a lovely name.

I hope these last few weeks go really smoothly for you.

  5. Hahaha, love the baby sprinkle!! that's so adorable.
Those flowers are amazing and I really love Evelyn!! I lived with a girl named Evelyn for a while and I kept telling my mum how much I love the name, because it's different but it's still a 'normal' name...if that makes sense?

I'm so excited for you for these next few weeks!

  12. Evelyn is gorgeous- glad to see a classic name spelled in its original form. A friend of mine's son goes to school with a little girl called Yvelyn. With a Y. The Grounds has the best coffee going - a lovely place to have a baby sprinkle (I've never heard that expression but it is great!)
