all about evie...

Lately we have been...

Enjoying babychinos...

Starting daycare...

Celebrating a round of first birthdays with our lovely mothers group buddies...

Playing with birthday gifts...

Spending a wonderful Father's Day with this one's favourite person...

It really has been All About Evie! Starting daycare has been a big change - the tiny one has taken to it well it would seem. She has always been an independent little creature, and this whole venture seems right up her alley.

Although I am not returning to work until next February, I'm glad we are having this slow easing-in period - more for my own sense of self, rediscovering who I am as an individual, not just as Mum. I am someone who is generally quite resistant to change, but this whole parenthood thing has really helped me to relax and ease up a bit - here's to the next chapter!

  1. Aw look at that little pony tail. Adorable!

Good to know your little miss is taking well to day care, I will be heading back to work soon also and have been contemplating how to best transition. I am pretty confident Harvey will be much like Evie and love the new exciting place. Of course I will enjoy the quiet coffee time too, though deep down I will miss my little guy like mad.

  2. That's good to hear. I'm quite structured and set in my ways, and have always wondered how I woud cope once kids came along!

  3. So cute!
I am freaking out about leaving my little man and going back to work in jan now (I just pushed it back from the expected return in December).

Did you have to wait long to get a child care spot?
How many centers wait lists were you on? We are still waiting to hear if my E will have a place to go.

I am from Wollongong too so just curious.

  4. E is such a darling.

I'm so glad to see that you're feeling positive about how things are changing, and that she is loving childcare. Wonderful. Hope you are getting to savour some "you" time.
